Great news that the Grass Pitch Improvement Fund from the Football Foundation has reopened today! 

The Agrigem Sports Turf Team have been supporting this fantastic investment into the nation’s natural turf pitches since its inception last year. 

We have successfully advised clubs and contractors working in collaboration to the reports and feedback they have received from the Pitch Power app, while staying true to our ethos of “PUTTING THE GRASS INTO GRASSROOTS”. 

We now have the opportunity to give back all that knowledge and experience to the very heart of the game, which is an extremely rewarding feeling knowing that we will be helping grassroots club moving forward after such a difficult year. 

Here at Agrigem, we know first-hand the constraints on finances and the amazing work of volunteers who help make the game happen; indeed, we have a member of staff who is a Grassroots Junior Club Chairman, who has been lucky enough to have already started his club’s Grass Pitch Improvement programme. 

Indeed, via our Nutrigrow fertiliser brand, we were very proud to be a founding sponsor of the recent #GroundsWeek from the Grounds Management Association. 

The team will continue to work on the fundamentals of sports turf management, whilst maximising each grant award for the benefit of the club and most importantly, the players: 

  • Being fully aware of budget constraints and using funding wisely. 
  • Professional Free advice and support. 
  • Guidance.  
  • Responsible for making good decisions on their behalf to fulfil the grant and expectation. 
  • Building partnerships to support grassroots sports. 
  • Planned strategies. 
  • Working together to ensure sustainability.
