Sticky Trap Rolls

Sticky rolls are a great way to trap insect pests economically - without the use of chemicals. The rolls remain active for up to six months and are coated with a powerful adhesive on both sides. Use these rolls throughout the growing season whenever pests are present.

The rolls are made from a high-density polyethylene and are resistant to UV light and water, making them ideal for use in the greenhouse.

Yellow Sticky Rolls

Yellow sticky rolls are highly attractive to:

• Whiteflies
• Aphids
• Leaf miners
• Thrips
• Fungus Gnats (Sciarid flies)

Yellow sticky rolls are available in two sizes:

• 100m x 15cm. Roll out the tape 25cm above the crop to the length required.
• 100m x 30cm. Roll out the tape 40cm above the crop to the length required.

Blue Sticky Rolls

Blue sticky rolls are particularly effective at attracting thrips and are suitable for both vegetable and ornamental plants. Blue sticky rolls are available in two sizes:

• 100m x 15cm. Roll out the tape 25cm above the crop to the length required.
• 100m x 30cm. Roll out the tape 40cm above the crop to the length required.

Application

Follow instructions carefully when you receive the product. Before hanging, the sticky rolls should be warmed up, for example, by placing them near a heat source (like a boiler) the day before.

Secure one end of the tape to a pole or stake at the correct height above your crop (indicated above). Then roll out the tape to the length required. This is usually the length of your crop. Fix the other end to another pole or stake at the same height.

Do not hang the rolls too tightly or too loosely. If too tight, the rolls may curl and change colour and if hung too loosely, the rolls may sag.

Replace the tape when it becomes full of insects.

• Store the rolls in a dry cool place, ideally between 10°C and 15°C.
• Use sticky rolls where pest pressure is highest.
• Use when crops are still fairly small.
