Compost Maker is a compost accelerator enriched with organic nutrients, designed to speed up the decomposition of garden and household waste that would otherwise take longer to break down.

The effectiveness of Compost Maker varies with the season and the materials used. In warmer months, composting can be completed in as little as six weeks, while in winter or with tougher plant materials, the process may take six months or more.

The finish compost is ideal for enriching garden soil, boosting its organic content, enhancing soil workability, and improving natural fertility. Compost Maker can be used on open heaps, in compost bins, or even in plastic sacks.

How to use:

60g is approximately equal to one handful.

Open Compost Heaps

• Construct a circular or rectangular heap about 1 meter (3 feet) wide.
• Begin by adding a 15 cm (6 inch) layer of compostable materials, such as grass clippings, weeds, or soft hedge trimmings.
• Sprinkle 60g (approximately 2 oz) of Vitax Compost Maker over this layer.
• Continue building the heap, adding 15 cm layers of material and sprinkling Compost Maker with each layer.
• Although open heaps compost well, Vitax Compost Maker works most effectively when the heap is kept warm and moist, so cover the top with a polythene sheet for best results.

Compost Bins and Plastic Sacks

• For compost bins or plastic sacks, fill with compostable material and mix in 120 g (4 oz) of Vitax Compost maker as you fill.
